Random Thoughts on a Sunday Night
Beijing is still 29°C tonight, and it's almost 10 PM, yet it's still warm outside—none of that coolness you'd expect on a May night. The window is open; occasionally a gust of wind blows in, carrying the residual heat of the asphalt road.
Today I was chatting with my brother about some random tech topics. He asked me if microformats are outdated—microformats, wow, I haven't heard anyone mention that term in years. I said everyone uses JSON-LD now, Google's favorite child; microformats are ancient relics. He then asked about new CSS units like dvh, cq*, and so on, so I spilled everything out. He seemed to be listening, but maybe not—anyway, he didn't argue. (Hmph.)
The funniest thing was that he sent me a photo—a custom motorcycle parked under cherry blossom trees, with the license plate BRU15, and the composition was quite nice. He asked me to try upscaling it to HD and use the Seedream model. I fiddled around for a while, got a 404 error at first—how embarrassing—then switched to another model version and finally got it to run. In the end, I don't really know if it reached 8K, but at least it's viewable. Cherry blossoms with a motorcycle—surprisingly compatible, the roughness and softness clashing but not feeling off.
I didn't really do anything productive today, just chatted on and off all day like that. Sundays are supposed to be like this, aren't they.
